Boracay Travel Requirements 2022

travel guide

Domestic and foreign tourists can explore Boracay's clear waters and gorgeous stretches of white sand once again. But with the COVID-19 pandemic threat, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) released guidelines and requirements for visitors to follow and consider before booking a ticket to Boracay.

GOVERNMENT-ISSUED ID

A government-issued ID needs to be presented by all travelers showing Philippine residency or a passport for foreigners and OFWs.

PROOF OF VACCINATION STATUS

Fully vaccinated local and international tourists who received their last COVID-19 vaccine at least two weeks before travel are exempted from presenting a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result.

Instead, they must submit a certificate of vaccination generated via vaxcert.doh.gov.ph and a locally-issued vaccination card/ID with a verifiable QR code containing contact details of the vaccination center.

Individuals vaccinated outside the Philippines must present a vaccination card or certificate issued abroad proving their vaccination status and a World Health Organization International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis Card, popularly known as the Yellow Card.

Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated tourists must submit a negative RT-PCR test (saliva, nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal) taken not earlier than 72 hours before travel.

A completed Certificate of Undertaking (Traveling with Minors) is required for those traveling with children below 12 years old. Get it here.

ACCREDITED BORACAY HOTEL BOOKING CONFIRMATION

All tourists intending to stay on the island must provide confirmed hotel bookings from any accredited Boracay accommodation/establishments.

CONFIRMED ROUNDTRIP FLIGHT OR TRAVEL DETAILS

Visitors traveling by air can only use Caticlan Airport.

ONLINE HEALTH DECLARATION CONFIRMATION

Register to touristboracay.com and complete the health declaration form. Once successful, a copy of the health declaration and a QR code will be sent immediately after. Preview and download the OHDC. Have a printed or digital copy as this will be presented upon entry/exit ports and when accessing Boracay Island services.

The QR code expires twelve (12) hours from hotel checkout time. Tourists meaning to extend their stay in Boracay Island must notify the validator and send an email of a new booking slip to touristboracay@gmail.com. Failure to do so may cause delays in acquiring services and exiting Boracay Island ports.

*OBSERVING HEALTH PROTOCOLS

Tourists must wear face masks at all times and practice social distancing. Transportation services have a 'no mask, no boarding' rule, and tricycles can allow a maximum of two (2) passengers and a maximum of four commuters on e-trikes. Disinfection kits are provided to the drivers to sanitize the vehicle after every ride.
