Actor Craig McLachlan expressed how he was gravely devastated by media
Reports in January 2018 relating to misconduct claims during the 2014 presentation of The Rocky Horror Show and other productions.
According to McLachlan, he developed severe social anxiety due to the statements and was treated in a mental health facility by the end of 2018. "I felt completely overwhelmed. I felt helpless," he conveyed to the jury.
McLachlan narrated to the court that he completely shut down and had only been able to visit one restaurant since the publication of these allegations. He also felt the need to disguise himself when shopping for her 91-year-old mother.
The case centers around the corroboration of 11 women who worked jointly with McLachlan on the musical and other television and theatrical shows.
Following the publications, McLachlan lost the lead role of Dr. Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. The Doctor Blake Mysteries, an upcoming telemovie wherein McLachlan plays the titular role, was also put on hold.back
