Resort Location
Fridays Resort rests at the northern end of Boracay. The finest part of the four kilometer stretch of powder white sand which made the island famous.
How To Get There
The most convenient way to reach Boracay is by taking the one hour flight of Asian Spirit, Seair or Corporate Air en route to Caticlan. You may also try the 35-mins flight of Seair via same route. These airlines also have flights originating from Cebu which takes you to Boracay in less than an hour. A Fridays Transfer Officer will greet you at the airport and bring you to our private welcome center in a short trip of 200 meters by the resort van. An exclusive native motorized outrigger boat or "banca" then takes you to the resort in about 20 short minutes. Ensure that you are wearing clothes and adequate footwear which will allow you to "walk in the water" from the beach to the banca.
Another alternative is by taking the Philippine Airlines or Cebu Pacific flights en route to Kalibo, from where you can take an airconditioned bus to reach the private welcome center. the road from Kalibo to Caticlan is about two hours.
The Resort's front office staff will be glad to reconfirm your domestic and international flight bookings.
On Arrival
Things to Remember:
* Should you intend to stay in Manila either before or after your trip to Boracay, we can arrange your room booking with either of the following hotels: in Makati - Manila Peninsula Hotel and Oakwood Hotel; and in Manila - Westin Philippine Plaza.
* For your transfers from the Manila International Airport going to Manila Domestic Airport or hotel of your choice, we recommend that you proceed to the car rental kiosk or you can arrange your transfer with your travel agent. In any case, we suggest you use only accredited transportation services.
* Philippines transact in pesos (PhP). However, US dollars is also accepted so for those coming from different parts of the world, we recommend that you change your money to dollars and mostly pesos. Cash dispensers, ATMs or bancomats are available both in Manila and in Boracay. Should there be a problem with the ATMs and bancomats, look for currency exchange kiosk or change your money at Fridays' reception. Fridays accepts major credit cards and US dollars as payments.
* Be in Manila Domestic Airport two (2) hours before departure time. You will need to present your passport if you are not a Filipino citizen or any form of identification (driver's license, company ID or SSS) for Filipinos.
* Take note that flights from Manila to Caticlan (Boracay) are only allowed ten (10) kilos maximum of baggage.
* Likewise, take note that all liquid items (mineral water, gel, cologne, perfume, etc.) are not allowed on hand carry bags in the airport. Should you have these things, keep them in your luggage to be checked in at the check in counter.
* Should you arrive on a "habagat" or monsoon season, our transfer officer will bring you to the public jetty port in Tabon via van, then to the back of the island at Fairways on a 20-minute boat ride, then a final 10-minute van ride to the resort.
* Depending on the tide level for late arrivals, a flat boat may be used to get into and out of the "banca".
We welcome you to our resort on the beach with shell leis and local lemon juice. Ensure you are wearing clothing that will allow you to walk in the water...from Banca to the Beach!
